XM to Offer Most Comprehensive Radio Broadcast Coverage of 'LIVE 8' Performances From Around the World

WASHINGTON, June 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: XMSR - News), the nation's leading satellite radio service with more than 4 million subscribers, announced today that it will broadcast LIVE 8 performances from around the globe. On July 2, XM will carry LIVE 8 concerts from London, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Philadelphia with XM personalities covering the performances live on location. XM's exclusive satellite radio broadcasts of LIVE 8 will begin at 9 a.m. ET on July 2 with performances from London and Paris on XM LIVE (XM Channel 200) and performances from Berlin, Rome and Philadelphia on XM LIVE II (XM Channel 201).

Some of the music industry's most accomplished acts and biggest names will be performing at various LIVE 8 concerts around the world, including Annie Lennox, Bob Geldof, Bon Jovi, Brian Wilson, Coldplay, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Cure, Dave Matthews Band, Dido, Elton John, Faith Hill, Jamiroquai, Jay-Z, Joss Stone, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Keith Urban, The Killers, Lauryn Hill, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, Paul McCartney, P Diddy, Pink Floyd, R.E.M., Rob Thomas, Sarah McLachlan, Scissor Sisters, Snoop Dogg, Snow Patrol, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Tim McGraw, U2 and Velvet Revolver, among others.

The LIVE 8 broadcast will kick off XM's month-long celebration of live music.
