Mobilkom Austria sells U2 tickets via SMS

The advance of mobile ticketing continues to proceed apace in Central Europe. This week, Austrian mobile operator Mobilkom Austria announced it had the very last tickets for the Vienna U2 concert on 2 July, which has been sold out for months.
As of today, the operator's Vodafone Live service from A1 is offering mobile phone users the last 300 tickets via SMS.
Customers may purchase a maximum of two tickets each. Payment is made through Paybox, or through the customer's bill. After ordering, users receive an SMS with the ticket code. Customers also receive details on validating the SMS ticket as well as useful information per SMS.
The SMS ticketing service is increasingly available for different events in Austria. A listing of all current events can be found on the Mobilkom Austria website.
