(03-17-2005) U2 Rehearsal Setlist - Spoiler Alert! - Interference.com*

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
And just wait until the tour starts...

"This setlist sucks"

"Bono cannot hit the notes on WOWY anymore"

"Walk on as a closer? Come on, they should do an extended version of Gloria to remember the old days"

"I am tired of the acoustic setlist. This doesn't RAWK"

And the list will go on and on... so I would not worry. People still buy tickets, and every single U2 show is a blast... even if they played just one song.

That is why they are the best live band in the world.

You guys are all too funny!

This is fun to be thinking about setlists and people standing outside listening to rehearsed songs and all that! :)

Relax folks. This isn't the actual setlist.

There's not a chance in hell that they'd play SYCMIOYO first. That'd be the worst decision imaginable. I'd bet that this is probably just a bunch of songs they chose to practice (among probably a whack of others too) that'll be rotated.

Don't start shitting bricks here.

I agree...everyone be patient, and just wait til opening night. Personally I wouldn't mind if this was true, since this is my first concert and I don't exactly want it to be U2:The B-Sides:wink: But I understand the need to mix it up, they apparently do and are looking to from what they've said, so let's all just chill:wink:

C´mon, they´re just rehersing... this means next to nothing... That setlist is way to "slow" for a real show...

Isn´t Bullet the blue sky soon dead live? At least they have to come up with something else than the spotlight-thing

Good to see I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, was hoping for a bit more from Boy and War but this is just one gig so...

does noone else realize there is ONE song from all of the 90's in that setlist?

won't someone please think of the children?!!?!?

How dare they!

There is no:

Acrobat
Heartland
Red Hill Mining Town
Grace
Lady With The Spinning Head
The First Time
Are You Gonna Wait Forever
Baby Please Come

and the big one............ Mercy!

Guys, this is the boys just practising different songs. Its not the final setlist, and if it was its pretty decent, even though its not in playlist order yet. Remember the rumour of lemon being rehearsed in Mexico. I'm sure there will be other songs they will practise tomorrow and different ones the day after.

Even if this does become the final setlist. This is U2, the best live band ever. Whatever songs they choose to play, you are guaranteed an awesome night.

Sken

this is only a rehearsal remember in mexico they did alot of different tunes to this so wait and see:)

heres more updates from Vancouver

the guys have been heard rehearsing these
last night wednesday 16th march

- I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
- With or Without You
- Bullet the Blue Sky
- Running to Stand Still
- Yahweh

tuesday or wed?
-The Fly

wait for this from a fan reporting outside the venue

Hold onto your hats...

An Cat Dubh
The Ocean
Into the Heart

And a couple other Boy songs we couldn't manage to place.
But, the setlist was definitely all over the place.
And everything I heard, aside from Bono saving his voice as usual
and not sounding 100%, sounded fan-fecking-tastic.
And of everything played, they seemed to start with Love and Peace,
a great opener IMO.

Hopefully, more tomorrow with my fabulous 10 minutes per dollar
internet connection.

U2 spent 10 days in Mexico last month for the start of their Vertigo Tour rehearsals.

This is really true? It seems almost too good to be true. Please, She's a Mystery to Me, A Celebration and Fast Cars??

WHAT??? NO "Mysterious Ways"?!?!?

And for anyobdy who even WISHES "Streets" is going bye-bye, (if you were foolish enough to even think such a thing), get over it.

If such a thing were even proposed, Edge might try to break Bono's nose a SECOND time.:)

PS "Fast Cars" live??? Oh.....if only bootlegging were possible...

to Our Guys..you ARE recording these rehersals right???:(

PPS Roland: "Kite" didn't show up out of nowhere in San Jose. Fans had been bringing "Please Play 'Kite' " signs into the Heart since the beginning of the tour, the 3rd or 4th show. The band responded, they had been rehearsing it as a result for a while.

It's great to see Bullet and Streets are still there!! Also good to see LAPOE is a goer!!

Mysterious Ways and The Fly had better happen or else!
UTEOTW will obviously be played, they don't need to rehearse that one really.

Yeah could you imagine the DVD - the crowd goes completely mental as they walk out, and then they start playing that.

It could quite possibly go down as the worst concert opening of all time.

This is just rehearsal.... it has probably nothing to do with the order of the songs for a real show, as well as what songs they are going to play.....
We should just calm down and wait for the 1st show......

U2 have so many good songs that somebody will always be disappointed...if they'd play all their best we would all be in the gig for 5 hours...now, I love U2 but five hours would be too much:wink:

It looks nice. But I can't imagine them not doing ABOY, after all that's one of the singles, so maybe this isn't the final list, perhaps?

Bono should blow minds and start with this list !

- Vertigo
- The Fly
- Xanax and Wine
- Spanish Eyes
