U2 No1 song for drivers

THE best classic song to drive along to is U2’s Beautiful Day, according to a poll of motorists.

The anthem — sung by Bono — pipped Queen’s We Are The Champions and Eric Clapton’s Layla.

But Franz Ferdinand’s Take Me Out was voted the best modern driving song in an Autoglass survey of 4,500 drivers.

Robbie Williams’s Radio and I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness completed the top three recent songs.

The top turn-off for drivers was Peter Andre.

The poll also found 64.8 per cent of Brits listen to music in cars, more than anywhere else.

Simon Edwards from Autoglass said: “Even the boom in iPods has not dented the car stereo’s popularity.”

I'm starting driving lessons soon. The one thing I'm mostly looking forward to about getting on the road, is listening to U2 up loud in my car stereo.

The all-time best driving song is "Streets."

No contest, and I'd punch anybody out who dares to argue:wink:

The thing about Streets is that it's so energetic, it makes me want to fly - this can lead to driving like a maniac, which is NOT a good thing.
