Looking at the figures i think it would've been 12-13k...2 place drop ain't too bad but lots more new releases out next week so i think it'll do well to stay in top 20 from next week on.
Btw, Music Week are now saying week 52 was overestimated by 18%! This means the real figure for week 6 is likely to be around 35k instead of 47k
In the Netherlands the compilation drops from 5 to 6. Its chart run is:
3-5-6-6-5-5-5-6
As I noted earlier, it looks like this will be the first U2 album since The Joshua Tree that will not hit the top spot, thus breaking a chain of 9 consecutive #1 records.
On a more positive front, Window In The Skies jumps from 45 to the top spot in its second week! Yes, U2 has yet another #1 record in the Netherlands. Think of it, until 2000 they didn't have a single #1 hit and since then they've hit the top spot 4 times (Beautiful Day, Elevation, The Saints Are Coming and Window In The Skies). Not bad at all.
Edit: And I almost forgot with WITS being the new #1, but The Saints Are Coming are also still on the charts. In its 10th week this collaboration drops 12 positions to #34. But as the single reached the top position (and the compilation still being a solid top 10 seller) it did its job. The full chart run is:
33-1-1-5-6-8-9-20-22-34
I think with U2 it is almost meaningless to look at the individual country totals. The Global Chart though shows the true picture. They really are a Global Band. Truly citizens of the world hence their widespread appeal.
