Great from Holland too. Guess this might be due to the '5th Leg Effect'.

I don't think so. Because what 4th leg effect? They're not touring here and there's no news here (as in major features and lots of spotlight coverage). The only reason I can think of for this small comeback on the charts is the Original Of The Species single/download (and radio play). But it is completely separate from any touring stuff.

:)

Yes. Quite logical of course... i was just thinking of all the Dutch fans who have 5th leg tickets for but haven't yet picked up the album.

No U2 in the UK Top 200 this week.
David Gilmour's album went straight at #1
The PF success never ceases of amazes me.

Great to see BOMB at 4 times platinum now in Australia!

Does anyone have a list of U2's album certifications for Australia?

I know that:

POP 1 x platinum 70,000
Best Of 1980-1990 5 x platinum 350,000
ATYCLB 4 x platinum 280,000

Its amazing that U2's best selling album in Australia is Rattle And Hum! Do you have any dates for any of these certifications? I wonder how old the 5 x platinum certification is for the Joshua Tree?

According to these certification levels, U2 have sold 3,150,000 albums in Australia.

Can anyone tell me how much The Legend of Johhny Cash sold last week and how much it has sold total? All I know it it was #6 on Billboard. Thanks

I really don't think it's that amazing when you consider U2 spent two months here on the Lovetown tour (and played 23 shows, plus 4 in New Zealand), when RAH was the current album. In comparison, out of all of U2's other tours (not counting Vertigo as it hasn't happened yet!), they have played a total of 25 shows in Australia over 3 tours, with none of those tours lasting even a month.

Another interesting example of the 'Lovetown Effect' is how well RAH's fourth single did - presumably because it was the closest single to the actual tour.

What I'd like to see is how closely RAH's certification figures align with the Lovetown tour, as it commenced some ten months after the album was actually released.

I don't have any dates im afraid. I got this info from an email from Aria. However this was before Bomb was released. I had to add in the Bomb singles myself, therefore the reason I dont have ABOY's chart position in there, because I dont know it. Im also unsure how complete the SINGLE certifications are as Desire wasn't certified it seems!
