According to mediatraffic 1.584m - this current weeks sales should see that pass 2m, largely thanks to sales in Europe (esp the UK where sales should be between 150-200k this week) and Oz.

U2 rises to 3 (361,800) - with the Beatles at 1 (477,600) and ll Divo at 2 (442,600).


Interestingly a new entry at 31 for Damien Leith, the Oz Idol winner- with sales recorded at 127k ! This is way above what had been reported elsewhere in this forum, so one does have to treat the figures above with some caution.

Just like last week, the International Hit List World chart is way, way too low with its figures.
As for the Damien Leith thing, the newspaper definitely said 89k for last week, HOWEVER, the album was actually released on the Thursday beforehand and those first two days of sales were enough for it to chart at #3, before it went number #1 the next week. So maybe they added those two days, but I doubt it.
All I know is that both world charts in my opinion have stated sales figures that are a bit too low.
