How many copies this week for the bomb in UK?
10.000 is it possible or this is a prediction too high?

Well, not surprisingly the London terror attacks finally caused overall album sales to dip by 1.9% - they were 7.8% higher up untill Wednesday.

Pink Floyd's DSOTM sold 9,898 copies at # 41. So HTDAAB would have sold about 11-11,500 - enough to take it's overall total to the 1,150,000 mark.

Also, Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here sold 3,933 at # 65. So, JT & 2 BO's would each have sold another 4-5,000.

Thanks!
So, the bomb needs now to sell only 50.000 copies to reaches 1.200.000 copies sold in UK.
I think it will takes 15 - 20 weeks to sell it...so, before christmas time HTDAAB will have probably surpassed the 1.200.000 mark.
That's good...

Shouldnt take that long to get there... well i hope not anyway! The tour effect will be over now, but I think the next few weeks will still see sales around 7-8k so i'm guessing about 8 weeks before it hits 1,200,000. Either way by now it has definitely outsold ATYCLB which is about 1,100,000.
Should be interesting to see the French chart this week and next... and speaking of France I saw the top five albums sales for France for last week and they are lower than I expected. Number 3 sold about 11,000 and number 4 sold 10,000, which is very low for a country of 60 million people.

Actually, I expect the next three - for weeks with 7-8.000 copies each one, but the following week will have probably a decline in the number of copies sold.
Don't forget: in the last 8 weeks before arrive of Vertigo Tour in UK, there has been an average very low...about 3.500 copies/week.
So (and I hope to be wrong, obviously), I think that 8 weeks are not enough to grab 50.000 copies...

The bomb is currently #17 in the Amzon Charts of France. Last week, it wasn't even in the Top 100 altough the album was #35 in the real album charts. I think that's a good sign.

In Germany the bomb is #53 in the Amazon charts, BO 1980 is better (#50).

In Uk, the bomb is #35, JT #80.

Amazon.com Bomb-> #39

not strange at all...people seem to forget that excluding US and UK the other music markets are really poor. Usually in other countries you have at best 2 or 3 weeks of strong sales (100-50k+ copies: these are the fans) in which the album sells about 3/4 of its total copies...so charting in the top 20 of a country that's not US or UK actually means nothing: after the first 10 weeks or so 80% (or more) of album sales come from UK and US.

Amzon Charts France:

#57 Boy
#58 War

Bomb is worse than #1000.

In the other countries (UK, Germany, USA), the bomb is #30-#40.

Amazon charts France now :

Boy : # 59
War : # 60
Bomb : # 86

Btw - there's another world album chart called Hit List which seems to include more sales info than Mediatraffic although it doesn't seem to be very 'official'. Anyway they have last weeks worldwide sales of Bomb at 51,600 (44,000 the week before) & it is 8xPlatinum which must mean it's sold 8M on their chart. Here's the link :

Italy: HTDAAB 29 (33)…Quite good.
COBL 14 (8)

HTDAAB chart run:
1-1-4-5-5-6-3-3-4-8-
6-10-9-8-8-9-15-14-21-17-
16-17-17-26-33-33-44-42-41-39-
41-33-29-

Vertigo chart run:
1-1-1-1-6-6-7-6-2-7-
8-17-11-11-17-21-19-x-x-34-
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-
x-x-x-x-

SYCMIOYO chart run:
2-4-9-18-19-25-22-16-35-29-
34-41-x-42-x-x-x-x-x-x-

COBL chart run:
30-5-8-14-

So, the atmosphere before italian tour (20-21 Milano and 23 Rome) helps the bomb to gettin' higher.
I'm hoping, anyway, something better in the next two weeks.
No other catalogue albums in the top 100.
