Amazingly week 23 has already begun & the good news is that 'the bomb' spends its 22nd week in top 10 in.... :

Belgium : #9 (#9) :)

Unfortunatley 'sometimes' drops out of top 50

Edge3,do you think that in Australia they can improve the Bomb's result with an eventual tour in 2006?

At last!! 'the bomb' stops falling 6 spots in UK :

#60 (#58)

Probably sold about 3000-4000 copies = 1064000 (est.) overall

:)

(Quite) good news from Italy:
HTDAAB 17 (17), with four "heavy" new entries in the high places (the Boss, N. Imbruglia e two well-knows italian bands: Subsonica e Modena City Ramblers).
SYCMIOYO rises from 35 to 29.

Best 90/00 re-entries at 95.

HTDAAB chart run:
1-1-4-5-5-6-3-3-4-8-
6-10-9-8-8-6-15-14-21-17-
16-17-17

Yes, the bomb is holding up very well Italy - do you know how many it's sold?

France : #59 (#40) - Ouch!!
...but 'sometimes' re-enters at #60 - so not too bad overall.

Now is about 450.000

(AYCLB ha sold 530.000 copies)

Wow! So bomb should now be 4-5xPlat in Italy & it's sold about 100K more in Italy than in France. That's pretty impressive.

Thanks for the info. :)

U2's popularity in Italy in very strong. Even if the music market here is'not as in GB or in USA, U2 sell a lot of copies for every disc. Of course, there aren't peaks like the million for the bomb or the two millions for JT in GB, but, regularly, about 400.000 or 500.000 copies for every disc (except B90/00 that has sold 300.000 copies).
For example, Pop (the less succesful since 1987) has sold, anyway 400.000 copies, Achtung Baby about 600.000 (at the end of 1992).
U2 are the only intenational band or artist that makes so in the last 20's: not Madonna, not the Boss, not (fortunately) the boybands.
Only italian artists like Eros Ramazzotti (good thing if you don't know him) or Vasco Rossi do this and no one other.

Now I see how U2 managed to sell 150,000 tickets to Popmart Reggio Emilia.

And don't forget that was the official attendance...actually, the real number was probably about 165 - 170 thousand people (I was there...fantastic, belive me!).
And two days before, in Rome, there were another 70,000 people screaming and singing.
This year, another three sellout gigs in the stadiums in july, in Milano (two) and in Rome.
Good thing.

See N.A. BB thread. Eurocharts not updated yet...I'll post them in week 23. Not sure if you really want to see the BB stuff, though.

Argentina

HTDAAB slips from 13 to 15
Sometimes debuts in Top 20 at 20 (may be a re-entry)

Not TOO bad overall - I kind of expected the Bomb to fall a bit, although not as much as 4 spots. I didn't expect Sometimes to en-enter. I guess that's mainly cos of re-entry at #60 in France. :eyebrow:
