In the UK 44 (57)
So for those of you keeping up with chart positions, the recent UK run has been:
158-139-91-57-44
In 5 weeks, the album has risen 114 positions in 5 weeks. Thanks to the Black Berry Ad, Jonathan Ross and the tour (in countries close by).
Since the tour will hit the UK in a week or two, I would fully expect that NLOTH will hit the top 20 again for at minimum 1 week (possibly 2 weeks).
The recent US chart gain hasn't been as massive as the UK but it has been very promising: 108-93-76-77 (up 31 positions in the past month). So, if people were using trends to see how U2 would end up sales wise two months ago, they would have had them dead in the water by now. However, thanks to the tour, Blackberry Ad and Crazy Tonight (vid and single) the album has had a second wind all over the world (see chart positions in Spain, France, Ireland, Canada, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Germany and Sweden.) Hopefully this positive trend will continue but we will have to wait and see (Im hoping that they do some promo in the US in November after the tour).
