I hope so, but there are 5 MJ albums in top10 :| so it will not be easy

This is what happened to HTDAAB after Vertigo Tour show:

the album was already gone from the chart for 9 weeks and after the show it came back, with 4 different albums:

HTDAAB: 32-17-21-31-25-41-//...out of top50
JoshuaT: 46-24-30-32-32-35-//...out of top50

No line on the Horizon seems to have a mouch better chart run in Poland than How to dismantle...i think it will be in top 15-top 12 in the tour period...
do you know how many copies sold No line on the horizon? And How to dismantle...?

100k - total sales for HTDAAB
NLOTH had 60+k by week 3 already, and as you said it's doing better than HTDAAB, I think it's probably around 120K by now, but it's just a guess.

I would have thought everyone in Ireland owns at least 3 copies of Joshua Tree by this point

No Zooropa or Pop love... it seems people hate these albums enough not to listen to them!

In the Netherlands NLOTH drops just one place to number 6. Still a good charting position. Crazy gets airplay from the radiostations, so I hope the album stays in the top ten for at least another two weeks...:applaud:

14 albums in top 100 in Ireland, wow, is that a record ? & how high again did HTDAAB go after the Vertigo tour ?

Peaks aren't as good this time but 14 in the top 100 must still be a record for U2. Jacko recently managed 12

In the UK 44 (57)

So for those of you keeping up with chart positions, the recent UK run has been:

158-139-91-57-44

In 5 weeks, the album has risen 114 positions in 5 weeks. Thanks to the Black Berry Ad, Jonathan Ross and the tour (in countries close by).

Since the tour will hit the UK in a week or two, I would fully expect that NLOTH will hit the top 20 again for at minimum 1 week (possibly 2 weeks).

The recent US chart gain hasn't been as massive as the UK but it has been very promising: 108-93-76-77 (up 31 positions in the past month). So, if people were using trends to see how U2 would end up sales wise two months ago, they would have had them dead in the water by now. However, thanks to the tour, Blackberry Ad and Crazy Tonight (vid and single) the album has had a second wind all over the world (see chart positions in Spain, France, Ireland, Canada, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Germany and Sweden.) Hopefully this positive trend will continue but we will have to wait and see (Im hoping that they do some promo in the US in November after the tour).

Big rumours of a X-Factor U2 special in November _ this would be a massive audience and sales boost Mike

not really this topic, but does anyone have new box office data? It's annoying that it is a closed topic. I don't know the reason? Maybe we can open a topic in the Tour-area?

I believe last week these two became available:
Stade Charles Erhmann July 15, 2009
Nice 55,641 / 55,641 (100%)
$6,261,208

Olympic Stadium July 18, 2009
Berlin 88,265 / 88,265 (100%)
$9,169,830

Hopefully these can be added to the sticky topic at the top.

do you have an idea where I can find those numbers? I checked billboard.com but did not find anything? Or do I have to be a member?

Unfortunately, Billboard.com has changed their reporting format. Its difficult to find Boxscores, and when they are listed, they are no longer listed by venue, but a total is combined for everything that is reported that week. The Berlin and Nice shows had the results combined.

Luckily, someone had membership to billboardbiz.com where the regular boxscore chart is still posted. They posted the results for Nice and Berlin on Wikki, and then a mod hear posted them in the sticky.

Billboard magazine which comes out every week in various stores, newstands and library's around the world, also has all the boxscore data updated in the same format each week. You can also order individual copies of Billboard magazine from Billboard.com.

I wish Billboard.com would return to the original format for reporting results. If you go into the "Live" section and look at the news reports, you can usually find the latest boxscore report down the list, but again, the results for each artist are combined now, so you can see individual venue results unless only one venue was reported that week.

Either way, the information will be obtained eventually, it just might take a little longer now. The magazine sometimes shows up on newstands a week or two behind whats currently on the website.

But for those willing to pay for a membership to billboardbiz.com, you can get the full weekly boxscore each week right on the day its released, reported in the original format with statistics listed by venue.
