Many European countries and the US/Canada to still officially post, but updates from some key markets as follows :

U.K No 1 (1 platinum sales)
USA No 2 (unofficial and based on Hits- 1 platinum sales)
New Zealand No 1 (2x platinum)
Australia No 3 (2x platinum)
Netherlands No 1
Ireland No 1
Spain No1 (1 platinum - 50k)
Brazil No 3 (1 platinum - 125k

Vertigo at number 1 in Spain and moved up from 3 to 2 in Brazil

Please post other countries week 2 chart positions in this posting

What is the link for the global charts and how many albums have been sold worldwide?

The album has shipped over 5.6 million copies worldwide and is 5 times platinum in Ireland as well.

HTDAAB is at #2 in its second week in France and Austria.
I reckon worldwide sales for week 2 will be about 850,000, as most countries it sold about half or slightly less (USA). A huge drop for sure but certainly expected after such a big debut week, and if they can keep up this amount or close to it all through christmas we'll be laughing.

rather strange that Bomb gets a second platinum disc in Oz, esp as opening week sales not spectacular there in the opening week and it falls to number 3 the second week 1. That said it is at number 1 in a number of stores here in Sydney.

More Week 2 chart positions:
Belgium stays at #1 and is now platinum
Denmark drops to #3
Spain drops to #5!!
Hungary drops to #9

But I am expecting it to drop at this time of the year due to record sales being so high.

After just a few weeks, HTDAAB has already been certified as double platinum in Europe, meaning that 2 million copies have been shipped in Europe!

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb is the latest opus from Ireland's finest export, U2. Carrying the band into its 25th year, this album is a back to basics set of songs which sees long-time collaborator Steve Lillywhite once again at the production helm. The album kicks off with the first single release Vertigo which features in the latest iPod commercial. Released in November, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb goes multi-platinum receiving 2 x Platinum Europe Award.
