Doubtful, it's way too soon. The tour's a little under two months away. I'd suspect it's riding on the back of ZooTV's release.

"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

These are great numbers for music DVDs, strange they don't make the impact that TV or movie DVDs do. Millions of spectators witnessed the Vertigo tour in North America, and plenty of the buyers were people who didn't go, you'd think they'd sell more.

France 2005 sales:

Vertigo Chicago: 98,945
Slane: 31,540

France 2006 sales:

Vertigo Chicago: 31,585
Zoo TV: 28,635

Does anyone have approximate sales figures for this DVD is various countries?
I know it has sold approx 132k in France, and 100k in Australia

UK EOY positions & sales since 2003 :

2003 : Slane 8th with 61,141

2004 : Slane 29th with ~35k

2005 : Chicago 7th with ~80k, Rattle & Hum 18th with ~47k & Slane 50th with 24k

2006 : chart run for Chicago = 5-5-11-9-14-11-15-x (below top 30)-30-24-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-17-20-28-29-x-x-22-19-23-x-x-x-x-x-21-24-x-x...out of top 30 for rest of year & below EOY top 40 best sellers so below 23k sold - but would estimate 15k)

So Slane's now sold ~130k which is a lot - must be amongst the top 20/30 best selling music dvd's ever.

Chicago total = 90-100k

Shedloads loads. I would think a couple of million or so if you include VHS sales since 1988.
