New Sales total for JT stated on VH1 top 100 songs

during the bit for With or Without You, they said it was one of the Joshua Trees number one singles that helped the Joshua Tree to sell more than 12 million albums. I can only assume that they got sales totals from Soundscan since it's only certified as 10 million by RIAA. This means that if JT was recertified soon it could be at 12 or 13 million. I assume Achtung probably is in about the same range of 1 to 3 million more. but 3 is probably stretching it a bit.

I think they were refering to global sales back in 1987, not to "US sales only" to date in 2003.
