European Certifications for HTDAAB?

HTDAAB was certified at 3 million in sales back in December 2004 for Europe. I'm sure everyone wonders how close this album is to hitting 4 million in sales. So if anyone has certification totals for any country in Europe for HTDAAB, please list them here. I'll start with a couple I know off hand.

United Kingdom 1,200,000 4x Platinum
Ireland 150,000 10x Platinum

There's actually already a good thread on this on page 4 of this forum : 'Will Bomb achieve the 4 Platinum status in Europe?'

...anyway this is what i've now got :

European sales update : bear in mind that 13 of these countries' figures / certifications are still unchanged from about 12 months ago. UK, Italy & France are definitely almost the exact sales figures to date...

UK ~ 1,215,000
Italy ~ 530k
France ~ 455k
Germany ~ 390k
Spain ~ 200k (certified 2xPlat for 200k in week 14)
Holland ~ 185k
Ireland ~ 150k (certified 10xPlat for 150k within the last few months)
Portugal ~ 140k
Poland ~ 100k
Belgium ~ 90k
Switzerland ~ 80k
Sweden ~ 60k
Norway ~ 55k
Austria ~ 50k
Denmark ~ 80k (2xPlat)
Finland ~ 30k (I estimate it's sold 9K since 31.12.2004)
Greece ~ 25k
Czech Republic ~ 20k
Hungary ~ 10k
Slovenia ~ 9K
Total = ~ 3,874,000 (certified 3xPlat by IFPI in Dec 2004 for pan European sales of 3m)

How many of these figures are actual certifications or soundscan type data as opposed to estimates?

- They are all based on official certs/estimations except UK, Italy & France which come from actual, 98% accurate, Soundscan type sales figures.

- The 1st weeks sales figure for Germany was 130,000 according to MediaTraffic & it was certified 3xGold for 300k way back in Jan ' 05 (or maybe Dec ' 04). So i really think close to 400k now (at least).

- For Finland there was an actual sales figure of 21,348 from 31.12.2004. (&, i seem to remember, something similar for Sweden or Norway too).

- The cert for Poland was Platinum though this could actually be = to 50k (not 100k) but i'm not 100% sure (other sources have said Plat in Poland = 100k).

I'm trying to gather the information that is based on solid certification and soundscan information before estimates. Is my list above of certifications correct? Are there any others not on there?

For the French and Italian figures, what is the last actual soundscan figure you have for each?

I remember that I posted the information that HTDAAB is 10xPlatinum in Ireland. This was a few months ago and I try to get an update.

UK (source - official weekly sales data from MusicWeek & ChartsPlus) :

14th best seller of 2004 with 850,764 + 54th best seller of 2005 with 348,200 + approx 16k so far in 2006 = approx 1,215,000

Italy (source - Italian chart experts at UKMIX.com & others here) :

8th best seller of 2004 with 350,000 + 20th best seller of 2005 with, most likely, approx 170,000 + approx 10k so far in 2006 = most likely, approx 530,000

France (source - French chart expert MJDangerous) :

18th best seller of 2004 with 290,000 + 48th best seller of 2005 with 158,000 + approx 7k so far in 2006 = approx 455,000

So the Italian and French figures are not reported Soundscan figures but estimates from people observing the chart?

No, not really...

MJDangerous really does have the exact EOY / weekly French album sales. Have a look again at his site - http://fanofmusic.free.fr/Site.htm - & you'll see those exact EOY sales for Bomb as well as the whole top 200 ! He actually has Bomb at 453,800 up untill just a few weeks back (when it dropped back off the top 200).

The Italian figure of 350,000 for ' 04 is definitely an accuarte Soundscan style figure - the Italian chart expert at UKMIX actually posted all the ' 04 Italian EOY top 10 albums with sales sometime around mid-last year. 170,000 for ' 05 is more of an approximation but defintely seems accurate...&, remember, in Australia Bomb was the 26th best selling album of ' 05 with sales of (another) 130k - & you still think Italian market is more than double the size of Australia's ? lol.
