It is very surprising for me that the capacity of london and manchester was the same ( aprox.55,000) when the twickenham stadium is much bigger than manchester stadium(75,000 vs. 48,000) Any explanation for this?

Anybody know the past attendance numbers of u2 tours in Europe? Imean joshua tree, zootv popmart, elevation. Just to compare.

JT Europe Tour: aprox 1,1 million tickets sold

ZooTV-Zooropa'93: 2,1 million tickets

PopMart: around 1,5 million

ET: around 736,000

VT: aprox 1,8 million?

the pitch at Twickenham was much emptier than at Manchester, ie at Twickenham you could walk to within 5 metres of the enclosure fence before U2 came on.

However, this does not justify the differential in attendances
