I'd like to know where I can find the exact attendance figures for every Elevation concert. Not the total attendance of the whole tour, but rather of each concert. Such matters just interest me, that's all. Thanks

Hello,

Here are the individual figures for the Elevation shows. These figures were gathered and compiled by Sting2, so he should get all the praise for this feat.

Still, while extensive the information isn't complete. Sting2 has found information for most of the shows, but some figures are still missing (mainly in Europa and the 3rd leg).

EXCELLENT info on attendance. Only problem is that some of the North American leg 1 shows did not sell out as reported. I know for a fact that Columbus had empty seats to the sides in the upper deck and did not sell seats behind the stage, and Lexington was undersold as well.

I was at the Columbus show. They did not put the rear seats on sale, because they knew it wouldn't sell out behind the stage, and that would just look bad. But from where I sat (on the side) it looked sold out to me. The seats were full in the back top of the arena. However, I didn't pay too much attention to anything besides the stage, because I couldn't take my eyes off U2! So maybe there were a few empty seats. I hope that doesn't discourage them from coming back to Columbus next time!

I didn't attend the Lexington show for financial reasons only. I so wanted to. But in Indianapolis the seats behind the stage were also not sold. I guess the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana region isn't particularly U2's biggest market. But I sure hope they still come back here.

The Columbus show was indeed a sellout, despite the fact seats behind the stage were not used. I was also at the Columbus show and I thought it was perhaps the best show I have ever seen! The only one equal to it may have been the Philadelphia show in November on the third leg. I was in the heart for that, so you could say I'm a bit biased there in rating it.

The entire tour was soldout because every show sold all the tickets it put on sale. There were some dates though in the Midwest that did not use behind the stage seating, and there were tickets available in Kansas City and St. Louis I believe right up to show time. Still all tickets were sold. The 45 dollar and 130 dollar tickets always soldout fast. It was the 85 dollar tickets behind the stage and on the second level that were slow to sell in a few markets.

That's not true. There were 6 shows that didn't sellout:

Tampa (16,000 out of 20,000)
St. Louis (16,000 out of 21,000)
Kansas City (14,500 out of 20,000)
Sacramento (15,893 out of 17,000)
Lexington* (17,000 out of 24,000)
Columbus* (15,000 out of 18,000)

The last two (*) officially sold out but not technically, as a 270 end stage configuration was utilized instead of their standard 360 configuration after U2 discovered that they couldn't sell out these venues.

A (sellout) hear under this definition means that all tickets put on sell were actually sold! I'm well aware of the configarations and was at the Columbus show.

AFTER U2 realized that they couldn't sell out Columbus, they reduced the capacity to fit the attendance.
