Believe, do you know if the whole first US leg of the Stones tour was reported to Billboard?
I'd like to see the numbers, I have 28 dates so far, from 42 shows in 2005.
Thanks.

Soldatti,

I could not find a complete listing/breakdown of the 1st leg...is there another way to find what you are looking for?

I'll check and see if there were any shows outside of the weekly Top 10, if I can find the info.

I thought for sure that all the Stones concerts were sellouts given all the hoopla and coverage. Didn't know they missed it, even if it was just 3 shows.

So many folks complained about U2's ticket prices...but it seems like they could have charged MUCH MORE and therefore MADE MUCH MORE MONEY, even if they had not sold out every single show. Not that they really need more money, but still, relative to today's top acts and the true market value, U2 actually way undercharged for their tickets.

SOLDATTI,

I can find nothing on Billboard.com showing archived Boxscore charts. Even if I could, I don't think that the remaining 14 shows that you are missing were ever posted on Billboard. They would all have most certainly been in the Top 10, and Billboard mentions that they don't have complete data for each show...just the overall totals. Sorry about that...perhaps another source or fan website?

SOLDATTI,

Where did you get the figures for East Harford, Ottawa, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Hershey and Durham?

I've watched the top 10 Boxscores on Billboard.com and did not see them posted there. I know the magazine post like the top 40 or top 50 every week, did those cities come in outside the top 10 in one of the weeks and were listed in the Magazine?

Are you sure your membership does not allow you to view archived boxscore charts from previous weeks or years?

I'm not sure where SOLDATTI got information from 6 of his shows because they were not in the top 10 on any of the past weeks, but if you buy the magazine, it does show like the top 40 or 50 shows I think so perhaps these 6 shows fell outside the top 10 behind other posted Stones shows.

It appears that that Michael Cohl did not release the results of the 14 other shows for some reason. :hmm:

I also notice that they did not even list the fact that Metallica opened for the Rolling Stones in San Francisco which definitely must have helped ticket sales there. In fact, they did not list any of the opening acts in the list I saw. I think Pearl Jam and Metallica definitely contributed to ticket sales for the shows they opened. Both Metallica and Pearl Jam are some of the strongest concert drawers on the concert scene and are almost to strong to be consider a support act for anyone.

The numbers were reported on Billboard actually, my source passed it to me. They only showed the Top 10 in their page during two weeks but the lists were longer. For some reason the other 13-14 shows are missing by now.
