Back in 2001, we have the numbers of total attendance, gross and soldouts from almost every concert of Elevation Tour. Now, Billboard hasn't reported nothing from Vertigo Tour :|

Any new?

Can't find anything...

There is nothing on Billboard's public site or subscription site. They list all concert boxscores, by event, but U2 is never on that list, while many, many other tours and artists are on the list and it's up to date. Not sure what's going on...

Pollstar has nothing on it's public site, either.

Michael Cohl didn't report numbers for the Stones tour in 2002-03, he only gave a summary at the end.
I think that is the same for U2 now...

The attendance in that show was 34.527?

If so, how can the average per show be 17,080, Vox?

That's the total attendance for both shows .........all of these arenas hold half of the attendance figure posted, and there were two nights at each place, hence the doubled figure.

So half a person went each night?

They have standing room only tickets that they probably added for the second night.

Coincidentally (?), the exact same question the original poster asked was in this week's Ask Billboard column on the Billboard site.
I check Billboard's Boxscore chart each week, and you are not listing the U2 shows. Since they are all sold out, how can you not list them in your charts?

Marilyn Dixon

Hi Marilyn,

The weekly Boxscore chart -- which lists the top grossing concerts -- is dependent on promoters of various tours and shows reporting to Billboard. Thus, if a promoter -- for whatever reason -- fails to inform Billboard, then the data for their shows is not included in the chart.

C ya!
