i wonder who's genius idea it was to put an XFL team in LA where they barely support their NFL teams. they got 12,000 fans to the stadium and barely a million TV viewers for the DC at LA game on sunday evening. hashtag shocker.

And likely 12,500 got free tix.

Which validates Dave's point that XFL teams belong in cities that aren't capable of supporting NFL teams like St. Louis so some fans will show up unlike in LA.

St Louis had 29,544 fans at the game. ---- That's more than some NFL teams drew

Oh and let's be sure to clarify that the only NFL team that drew less than this n 2019 was the Chargers who were forced to play in a soccer stadium with a capacity of only 27,000 while the new LA stadium was being built.
Even the lowly Bengals drew 10,000 more fans than the XFL did in their lowest drawing home game against the also lowly Jets.
If The Chargers were playing in SD still, your boast about St Louis XFL outdrawing an NFL game wouldn't exist.

No St Louis is more than capable of supporting an NFL team SK as just an *** hat. Further that's why the NFL has now lost several lawsuits from ST Louis.

If you look at the last 20 years the RAMs were in St Louis; they were better than the Bears.

You also know that was a 100% sell out, they did not sell tickets to the upper rings, they were closed.

If the Chargers stayed in San Diego they probably would, as would the Rams if they stayed in St Louis and SK not put a horrible product out the last few years to force a move. But once again that's way they will be paying STL well over a billion dollars once the suit is settled.

St Louis has failed to hold on to 2 NFL franchises. Maybe the XFL product is more appropriate there.

And yet we still had a better run than Chicago over the last 20 years.

The Rams leaving was collusion, profiteering, and illegal so far the courts have supported that.

Further why should the city and state pay for a second stadium (the dome was and is still fine and the state paid for it) in the first place when SK was putting purposely an inferior product on the board. When GF was alive the Rams had no problems and put out good teams. Funny she died SK took over the Rams started to suck.

Look across the state to a team that plays in our second biggest city in a Stadium built in 1972 that just won a super bowl. They didn’t take state money, they don’t hold up the state for a new stadium and put a quality product on the field. Even in the down years you never doubted their commitment to winning.

See how long the RAMS are supported in LA when SK starts money grubbing. Don’t worry he will

yes but you see that's all the owner's fault because 200,000 fans showed up to every game. furthermore, something something chicago.

Except the Rams didn’t fail in St. Louis - the Rams did well in St. Louis until SK took over and spiked the team so he could move,. It was pure greed.

The Rams avg attendance in 2014 was only 5000 less than the bears so in a city half the size of Chicago there was only a 7 percent difference- so tell me how did the city not support the Rams?

If you go back when GF owned the team the Rams out sold the Bears in total ticket sales.

we're talking about the cardinals. try to keep up, champ.

Champ huh,

I was talking about the Rams from the begening why would we even focus on a team that left 32 years ago, how is that relevant to STL supporting a team today. Further why would we focus on a team that spent like 63 years in Chicago and only 26 in St Louis.

Try to keep up and follow the logical progression.

It must really suck to live in Illinois, pay higher taxes, live under the heel of Chicago and know that everything is better in Missouri.

Missouri has Lower taxes, lower cost of living, better quality of life, better Pro Football, Better College Football (SEC), Better College Basketball, Better MLB, Better NHL, Better education, an all and all prettier state. I see why you guys are so grouchy. It must suck to live in the socialist paradise look south west and say damn why is everything better there.

for someone who's living in a place where apparently literally everything is better, you sure have a weird obsession with chicago.

I used to work up there. I commanded a Battalion down on Pulaski about 10m from Midway. Honestly my kids love the lake front esp around Loyola, love the fireworks on the 4th we watched them from Cen Park, my favorite sandwich shop is a Cuban place on Marquette and Cicero - But hey I am a Cards and Blues fan and nothing makes me happier then beating Chicago

Or more pissy when you guys called my beloved Lou a dumpster fire of a city.

Mizzou has been nationally ranked quite a bit over the last 20 years, even as high as 1 in 2007

2007: 12-2 (7-1), BIG 12 NORTH CHAMPIONS, NON-CONCENSUS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, No. 4 FINAL AP RANKING, No. 7 FINAL BCS RANKING

2013: 12-2 (7-1), SEC EAST CHAMPIONS, No. 5 FINAL AP RANKING, No. 8 FINAL BCS RANKING

2014: 11-3 (7-1), SEC East Champions, No. 14 Final AP Ranking, No. 16 Final CFP Ranking

I don’t think that makes them Shit. They are solid the last few years have been tough.

Right now they’re no more relevant than Illinois and certainly not better than Northwestern and I find it fucking hilarious that you denoted it as “(SEC)”, the typical last line of defense for a reputation of a good football team.

Also the year is 2020. Sure they were a good football team half a decade ago. I don’t sit and bask in Blake Bortles success in 2020.

Your right, although I think they are better than NW; and they play a tougher schedule. I just sucks that pinkel got cancer he was a great coach, they just haven’t been able to replace him.

Yeah they’re not better than northwestern sorry. Mizzou sucks. Those two schools weren’t very good last year either.

For the record I’m just taking into account “general recent success.”

Fair enough- Odom had been a disaster- I don’t know why it took so long to fire him. Pinkie was a great coach it’s sad he got sick and retired
