how about a world where the lakers need to ensure they lose games to have the draft pick they won't be receiving go to the lesser of two evils?

also - how about the job new orleans did with their draft picks? they're going to get the lakers pick unprotected ,which is currently the 8th pick with a 26% chance of jumping into the top 4... and if they're able to sneak into the playoffs via the play in game, they'll get to keep the pick they sent to portland for CJ McCollum
