Simmons is an excellent defensive player, one of the best in the game.

On offense, he brings nothing unless he's got the ball in his hands on a fast break. And fast breaks are way less relevant in the postseason.

If Kyrie's on the court, all Simmons can do in the half court is stand on the baseline.

Our mayor will make sure of that sometime between seeking to prosecute minors and eating his daily vegan diet of fish.

there obviously needs to be an adjustment - and ben will have to be okay with not being the primary ball handler. you'd think that wouldn't be a problem - but we'll see. Nets will have enough fire power to hide his weaknesses, but we'll definitely be able to see now if Steve Nash can actually coach.

ben has the potential to be crazy effective on offense operating in a triangle between the two dunker spots and the high post, again - if he's willing to not be the primary ball handler. to not be a point guard, which he insisted upon being in philly. if he embraces playing the draymond green role, then the nets just got more explosive. the main factor that the Nets will have that the 76ers never did is space. lots and lots of space. in philly the lane was always clogged... for obvious reasons.

it's a big if., no doubt.

Kyrie-Seth-Harris-KD-Simmons. Let Simmons play center!

Weakest defensive backcourt in NBA history with Seth and Kyrie?

still could be plenty of changes in the buy out market so we'll see what everyone's roster ultimately looks like.

Nope, that would be the Kyrie-Harden backcourt they just had.

They could slot Mills there instead of Seth.

Nets-Sixers in the playoffs would be so fun.

Kyrie is not a bad defender when he's engaged.

That last word in my sentence though is, uh, kinda the main problem with Kyrie. There's always something.

He's not exactly good on D, either - but he's shown in the playoffs - at least with Cleveland - that he can be a C+/B- defender when he needs to be.

Huge news. Great to see Ben get out. I hope he can realise all his amazing potential. Loved the solidarity from Patty Mills.

NBC Philly, Embiid being absolutely pathetic.

Better than the American way, which is to trade one of your best ever players who's just done his ACL without his knowledge!

Brooklyn now has Sean Marks (NZ), Ben Simmons (Australia), and Kyrie (AuJersey).

Which means one thing - U2 will never play the Barclay's Center.
