How do you run a 15-game daily schedule in this environment even disregarding the mess those states are in. Maybe California could have worked between LA and SF/Oakland but still. The daily schedule is tough.
Ah, totally fair. I still think that hubs would've been possible, they'd've just had to have had like 5 or 6 of them, but I get it. There are a lot of logistical issues.

The fact they can't just be adults is painfully frustrating.

And it's not just baseball. I've mentioned before, during this whole thing I started following Sumo wrestling, because it was literally the only sport happening for a hot minute there, and they're in the middle of their first tournament since March, since they canceled their May event. And even with the rigidness of their system, they've STILL had two people now sneaking out to party, and now one of the two has a fever. Like...wtf is wrong with people?

Someone please explain the concept of an incubation period to Rob Manfred.

Not for nothing - you could have done the entire league in a semi bubble between Philly and Boston - use the MLB stadiums and the minor league stadiums - and been much safer.

Probably a better solution than what they have, but given the reluctance to use the Buffalo stadium for the Blue Jays, not sure if using minor league parks at that scale would work (also, double the size of stadiums needed given the "alternate camp" players). With the regionalized schedule they went for, perhaps a combination of LA/Anaheim/SF/Oakland for the West Divisions, Chicago/Milwaukee/St Louis or Minneapolis for the Central Divisions and the Acela corridor for the East. With the playoffs in a single location.

Also a better idea.

Either way they should avoid Florida, Georgia and Texas like the plague. Pun intended.

In other news, about Trump throwing the first pitch at a Yankees game:

That tweet reminded me of something from Junior High School. I had a teacher there that went on a rather ridiculous rant about how you do NOT refer to the President as "Mr. _____" but "President _____" and how disrespectful it was to do otherwise.

Anytime I see Mr. instead of President, I immediately think the person doing the writing has failed me, as a result of this.

I’m gonna be stoked with Kumar Rocker or Jack Leiter when we suck so bad to get one of them in the draft next year. Also, I hate the Astros. The only guy on that team I like is Verlander, because I’m also a Tigers fan.

Hating the Astros is fun and easy, plus fuck the Astros is fun to say.

I can't hate them too much though because their manager's sheer stupidity gave us a championship. Thank you!

I remember a time when fans of certain fas hated other players/teams because "they were cheating" by using PEDs.

Once they realized how wide spread it was, and that it wasn't an isolated incident, the hate melted away from everyone but Bob Costas.

So you're saying Yanks fans should stop hating the Astros cause Yanks cheat too?

Yep.

Like... I'm fine with hating them. I just think people should tone it down a bit because there's a fairly decent chance players on your team are cheating, or have cheated, as well.

Maybe not to the same extent, especially now - but the odds of this being an isolated incident are not good.
