Fuck. So sad. Best strikeout pitcher in the game. He was really fun to watch.

Turned on the Dodgers game in the 9th to listen to Vin's last home broadcast and what a doozy!

The best part was the way he made you feel the clock tick as the Padres / Giants game wound to a close. Would the Dodgers do it on their own, or were the Padres going to do it for them? And then that home run seals it up, by a guy who hasn't hit a home run in two years.

What a way to end a home season.

Heard on radio this morning him singing "Wind Beneath My Wings", whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired tout de suite.

He mentioned the song when they honored him on field Friday night. Guy must be a big fan.

Dee Gordon's leadoff homerun was over of the most emotional things I've ever seen in sports.

Amazing.

Wild card race can wait for another day. Truly happy for the Marlins tonight to be able to perform the way they're performing in Jose's honor.

Uh, yes. I love Vin, but definitely a bad idea. I'm kind of surprised he chose to do that, but I suppose his intentions were good. I would have been impressed if he sang it like Lou Rawls.

Just saw the Dee Gordon clip. Very emotional.

Given that he came out with Fernandez's helmet etc., it's another reminder... Jose was also a great hitter for a pitcher. And again, always fun to watch bat. Because he never took himself too seriously, even though he managed to bat .250 this season.

I was away on vacation when I heard the news. This is so devastating. Although I didn't watch José all that much, he was a legitimately good and fun dude. Life is too cruel at times.

Rick Renteria. Seems like a good guy.

I want the Red Sox to beat the Indians.

Did I just hear that intentionally walking a guy with no outs and a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the 9th in a tie game was an "unusual move"?
