Yeah, shit, I stupidly looked up their album and discovered I missed something I probably would have loved. I will certainly check it out soon.

I'm too lazy to update my list again, but I just bought tickets to Shearwater.

November 13 - Madonna, NYC

Had actually intended to give this tour a pass, but adding that one last show at MSG tipped the scale... The way things are shaping up for the remainder of the year, I think this will be the last show I score and see for 2012. But, you never know.

I just counted my total shows for this year. 25 including 2 festivals. That is a lot of live music. :crack:

Also, I've heard it said that "we're only as sick as our secrets." So in the interest of emotional health, I should disclose that I deliberately went and saw A Flock of Seagulls at the local fair last weekend.

Dude is bald.

Well, of course he's bald. No one's hair should go through that much trauma.

I know, I know. It's just that the photos in the local ads weren't instantly recognizable as early 80's, and I think I remember seeing him a few years ago on VH1 with some hair, and... ultimately, my inner 8 year old found out all over again that Santa is not real. :reject:

But yeah, MA, they sounded pretty good for one old dude and three 40-ish hangers-on, straight out of playing the tribute band circuit, who were probably dreaming of KISS when Flock had their 15 minutes.

Damn, Killers so close to Christmas, that's awesome!

Word around town is that Of Monsters and Men will be in Orlando. It just so looks like I will be seeing so many artists that played Lolla here in Orlando, which is quite cool.

I see your 25 shows and raise you to 68.

Hoping to make it past 100 for the year. I stopped posting my gig list in this thread because I couldn't be arsed maintaining such a long list!

And finally (I think) for this year...

November 13 - Madonna, NYC

Aaaand, I lied, Madonna will not be the last this year.

But first, on Wednesday I won tickets via JetBlue's Twitter to...

September 21 - Bruce Springsteen, East Rutherford, NJ

That was tonight! Not only did Bruce play 3 hrs. and 10 minutes, with at least a half dozen deep cuts, but the tickets were suite tickets with full buffet and loads of beer and wine - for free! 'Twas a great night. :)

Also today, I picked up a ticket to this:

November 20 - Of Monsters and Men, NYC

My second TM purchase ever via the mobile site on my smartphone, worked well!

It's been a very slow year for me, picking up of late though.

5/29 - Radiohead
9/14 - Florence + the Machine
9/29 - MUTEMATH
--
The future ones I know for sure:

Still need to get tickets for AWOLNATION w/ Imagine Dragons, now reconsidering Passion Pit at the end of the month. It's gonna be a good October for live music :)

I haven't seen anyone since last April. The Who is in November, and now I'm thinking streetlight manifesto, dinosaur jr, x/rev Horton heat, and the street dogs all sound like really good ideas. The streetlight and Dino jr shows are somewhat local, too.

Funds running low for concerts this month, might have to miss Imagine Dragons. Thankfully though, The Big Ticket at the beginning of December has:

Rise Against
fun.
Of Monsters and Men
Grouplove
Anberlin
Imagine Dragons

and others

So I'll still get to see them. Notice something there? I saw 4/6 of those acts this year! What's really making me want to go though isn't the 4, it's the other 2 who I've been dying to see. What a phenomenal bonus though!
