The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I only found out about this show on Saturday; and I cried because it was sold out.

As of this morning, I learned that I am going tomorrow to see the Raconteurs!!

And by today's standards, a cheap show to see-- in an intimate club setting-- the dude that Rolling Stone has anointed as the heir to Mick and Keith's throne.

I could have tried the old guestlist shuffle, but I cannot confirm that I could write a good review this time of the semester.

So:

I give the record a 6.

Title track, Top Yourself, and Carolina Drama are the best tracks. The rest, I can pretty much live without.

Nooooooooooo.

I do agree that those three songs are of the best on the album though. But a 6? Dude!

I just can't get sick of this album...

Very good show last night. This isn't the order, obviously, but they played all of these songs:

Consoler of the Lonely
Steady as She Goes
You Don't Understand Me
Store Bought Bones
Hands
Together
Level
Blue Veins
Salute Your Solution
Old Enough
The Switch and the Spur
Top Yourself
Hold Up
Many Shades of Black
Rich Kid Blues
Carolina Drama

And tourist, your buddy did an excellent job. I remembered you mentioning him in the past, so it was cool to see him.

He's a cool guy. I miss the band he was in before, though. :(
