This thread shouldn't die.

No, it should not.
__________________God Is An Astronaut and Caspian are both fantastic!! Caspian's EP, You Are the Conductor, is absolutely amazing. It flows perfectly from song to song, and "Last Rites," which closes the album, has made me tear up on multiple occasions. |

I agree, You Are The Conductor is incredible. It really is perfect.
Their regular album, The Four Trees, I thought was ok, but not as good as the EP. It seems to lose its way a bit. But I love some of the tracks still, especially Moksha. Caspian is from Massachusetts, just south of me, and they play around the area all the time, so I'm going to have to check them out soon. |

I thought the same. Maybe the length threw me off a little with The Four Trees. It's harder to make a full length that is just as perfect as You Are the Conductor.
I think they just played a show in Boston, and they're now headed out for a spring tour. Unfortunately, nothing around me. ![]() |

I will be seeing Explosions in the Sky in a month.
![]() According to the news section of their website, Mogwai is in their final month of recording a new album and will be mixing it next month and hopefully finished with it by summer. ![]() MOGWAI IS BETTER THAN YOUR FAVORITE BAND |

A city near a magical(stinky) lake of salt. Despite what Explosions say, this part of the earth is definitely a cold dead place.

New Mogwai coming? Nice...
I've been on a huge "post-rock" kick of late. I've had Mono playing this morning. |

I've loved Mogwai, EITS, and Sigur Ros for awhile but lately have become really interested in the genre, getting into more bands like Do Make Say Think, God is An Astronaut, and Caspian.
Can't wait for EITS in April, and hope that Mogwai comes back to the US. |
