This is the world we now live in, that that is the first time I've ever seen this album cover.

Somehow I fucked up the counting for Timber Timbre, I had it 10th, but it didn't receive that many votes. So 20-11 all move up a slot, so New Pornographers is 10th. Lykke Li outright ninth.

Wouldn't be a Cobbler thread without a fuck-up, eh?

Haha that's our Cobbler.

6. Beck - Morning Phase (58 / 9)

“.” - NSW

“No matter what type of music Beck approaches, he’s the only artist I’ve ever listened to who can take apart a genre, master it, and put it back together so seamlessly, yet so ‘Beck’. The absorption of this album parallels that attribute flawlessly, like being submerged in a musical pool of bliss. Even if you’re the kind of person who can’t listen to slower paced music, I’d feel bad for you not giving Morning Phase the opportunity to induce you into a symphonic, orchestral, melodic, and soul-moving coma that we all look for in music.” - Mount Temple

5. Interpol - El Pintor (72 / 8)

p4k score - 5.9

“Cobbler’s salivating over the song is repetitive.” - djerdap

“Kele doesn’t sound as good live” - cobl04

“The New York indie rock band Interpol arrived on the scene just in time as indie rock was making its way into the mainstream. Right after the successes of The Strokes and The White Stripes, the quartet released their debut "Turn On The Bright Lights" on long standing indie label Matador Records. Though the album didn't become commercially successful, they got rave reviews from numerous music critics ans even managed to have their recording listed as one of the best albums of 2002.” - Mount Temple

I'm guessing final four is U2, War on Drugs, St Vincent and hmmm not sure.

4. St. Vincent - St. Vincent (80 / 8)

p4k score - 8.6

“Regrets …. I’ve had a few.” - corianderstem

“I hope to one day find someone in life who I can have ridiculous conversations about music with. Someone who would not be averse to talking about "Let Down" for a straight hour.” - cobl04

“The record is housed in a cheap, paper inner sleeve. When I tried to extract the disc I found that it was stuck to the sleeve with static. Once I removed the disc I saw that it looked sort of old already - a dusty sheen left by what I assume is microscopic paper residue from the sleeve and a clear line of dust running from the outer edge to the middle. The label was badly glued onto the vinyl, with air bubbles in it and the disc had a rough edge and was warped too. Basically, while it has good thickness, it looks cheaply made. I cleaned the record thoroughly before playing it for the first time but it still sounded as if it had been stored on someone's carpet.” - Mount Temple
