Smooth sailing for us. Got out of the car park pretty easily, got held up where people were turning off for Melb, but got home by about 12:30 (it's roughly 2 hours from Shepp.)

I can see now that perhaps 2013 was not Springsteen and the E Street Band's peak

I'm watching their 09 Super Bowl performance, fucking hell how they managed to distill everything that has been great about them for 40 years in 12 minutes is beyond me.

Clarence looks like he's lost weight.

Little Steven looks like he hasn't stopped eating since the year 2000.

If I go to another Bruce gig in my future I will make a sign for Meeting Across the River.

When I said today that Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out is his most underrated song, I was lying. Meeting Across the River is his most underrated song. It's so beautiful, and no one gives it the time of day.

I saw 3 of the 5 shows he did in Boston on that tour.
One of them from 4th row center (he didn't do GA back then).
Was a pretty good week.

I'd go with Growin' Up for most underrated Bruce song.

I'm really digging Bobby Jean now after seeing it live. Has that sort of joyful melancholy to it.

I didn't know it was underrated. If I was going to make a top 10 list, that song probably sits comfortably in the top 5.

Or a grainy sex tape featuring Judith Light and Tony Danza.

You fall in love with lonely, you end up that way.

I'm really looking forward to this new album. Hello Sunshine is sublime. It's great to hear an elder rock statesman be comfortable in his maturity, and thus sound fresh and new - vs, oh I dunno, trying to force their sound into the modern age of music through pop producers and gimmicks (no names mentioned).
