I think yesterday at Best Buy I had about $200 worth of Springsteen stuff in my hands, but I ended up leaving with nothing because 1) I couldn't decide what I wanted 2) I would've ended up taking more than I should've

I, too, have been in the same situation...although I've never been able to put anything back, sadly. No self control, when it comes to pre-Tunnel of Love Springsteen...although I do kinda regret not buying a used copy of The River, back in the day. Would've been better, for me and my wallet. That shit just doesn't work, as a double-LP. You pare it down to one record and it's basically perfect, but them shits is hurt by being so lengthy and so at times clumsily produced.

aka Silvio!

My favorite Sopranos line ever is when Silvio walks into a meeting, late. Tony asks why he's late. Silvio shrugs and says:

"The highway was jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive."

If You Shout, I may be baffled by your Jungleland opinions, but I'm with you on The River.

I love the audience guy's reaction when Keep the Car Running starts.

"OH MY GOD. HOLY SHIT." I love it.

Either way, I like it.

It was a total ell-oh-ell moment, totally unexpected. I think it was the only meta-reference to the Springsteen connection throughout the run of the show.

But hey, since they all lived in Jersey anyway, maybe they're just Bruce fans.

I don't have the Anaheim show, or I'd upload that for you.

Hey, someone should m e g a u p the Ghost of Tom Joad from 4-7 Anaheim for me. :flirt: I don't need the whole show right now.

Although that would be cool I guess. :hmm:

What we need is for someone to convert the official recording from the website into an mp3.

what was going on in Bruce's head when he sat down to write Lost in the Flood some 35 years ago?

Jesus. To be a fly on the wall in that room. Or to crawl inside his mind.

I'm currently writing a sequel to Being John Malcovich,

Tentative title:

Being The Boss.

I'll take any suggestions, though.

Hell yeah, you can play Patti!!!

I will be taking the role of "younger Bruce" ....if anyone wants to play "older Bruce" my door is wide open.

I'm thinking it might be hard to find a good Clarence Clemons, but the search is on!

First of all, posting on my celly at work. Good times.

Martha I can't check the quality of this at work, but http://www.mega upload.com/?d=E8V4DMOJ
This is tom joad ripped from the video according to the backstreets mp3 index. If it's no good, there was another one on there to try.

Second, I watched some of the keep the car running video while there were no customers :faint: .

Third, I nominate Michael Clarke Duncan to play Clarence, Cori you'll have to dye your hair red, because only a red-headed woman can get that dirty job done :flirt:

and finally could I somehow be Max :shifty: I don't care about what would have to be done for that to happen :shifty:

I'm going to download that myself - thanks! I was curious about all I'd heard about the performance, but I didn't get all the way through it on YouTube.

I'm just not big into guitar solos or anything associated with Tom Morello ... anything related to RATM.

But I'll give it another listen.
