Space Moon: Return to Space: On the Moon

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I did not put the listing order in the email, as I assumed the zip file would ake care of it, but I was proved wrong. Clearly that email was not sent from a Moon in Space, a Space Moon.

Here is the listing:

Flowers and Football Tops - Glasvegas
Heroes - Bowie
Mountain Song - Jane's Addiction
My Brain is Hanging Upside Down - Ramones
Do The Panic - Phantom Planet
Happy Birthday - The Ting Tings
Lovely, Love My Family - The Roots
You're So Cool - Dan Head
Elephant Gun - Beirut
Elephant Stone - The Stone Roses
A Lap Dance is So Much Better When the Stripper is Crying - Bloodhound Gang
Seeing Things - Black Crowes
Fearless - Pink Floyd
See You In The Next One (Have a Good One) - The Verve

To get into the mindset of this playlist one must understand the emotional overload that occurs when one enters a Space Moonian orbit.

First you are awed and saddened by the loss of what you once knew:
Flowers and Football Tops - Glasvegas

Then you see the possibilities that being on a Moon in Space offers:
Heroes - Bowie

From there you decide that there is ass, and it needs to not just be kicked, but kicked in such in a way it will never repeat any actions that even vaguely resemble it's previous transgression:
Mountain Song - Jane's Addiction

The you kick it again:
My Brain is Hanging Upside Down - Ramones

Then you buy it a beer and get drunk with aforementioned kicked ass:
Do The Panic - Phantom Planet

And then this happens:
Happy Birthday - The Ting Tings
Lovely, Love My Family - The Roots
You're So Cool - Dan Head

Then you realize there are fucking elephants on Space Moon and that's just awesome.
Elephant Gun - Beirut

And one of those elephants has ecstasy:
Elephant Stone - The Stone Roses

Then there is Truth Spoken:
A Lap Dance is So Much Better When the Stripper is Crying - Bloodhound Gang

Then enlightentment:
Seeing Things - Black Crowes

From there, you become one with Space Moon:
Fearless - Pink Floyd

And finally, Space Moon becomes one with you:
See You In The Next One (Have a Good One) - The Verve

Ladies and gentlemen, let's turn the clock back and pretend that it's 1997 all over again! Welcome to a collection that is chock full of rockin' electronica that goes back and forth between late 90's electronic music and pop/rock music of the period that was heavily influenced by the genre. I have tried my best to ensure good musical flow throughout and especially between certain pairs of songs here, but my main emphasis has been on choosing the right songs to create the best 60 something minutes of nostalgia. I originally didn't know where to put the R.E.M. track since it doesn't really fit all that well with the majority of material here. But I did not want to ignore it because that whole album was clearly influenced by the era. Then I noticed that it does somewhat go well after Ray Of Light and makes a good closer with that sweet noisy electronic mess as outro. Also, I had to use edited/Best Of versions for a few songs in order to get the maximum bang in an hour of music. So get your glow sticks ready, dust off that turntable and let's rock the fuck out! Right about now, the Space Moon lovers, check it out now, rocktronica's here!

1. Mofo - U2
2. Bodyrock - Moby
3. Block Rockin' Beats - The Chemical Brothers

Fall Of Man

Inspired by Fallout 3 I bring you the Fall Of Man, from the beginning where we don't want to
lose this planet we're on, through the various emotions our self destructiveness and dreams
bring us, to the end where we all get drunk and just dance the funk out, in a swirling
danceathon apocalypse. I hope you enjoy.

To quote the mighty Mighty Boosh "When you are the moon, there is a person people say is
the sun. I saw the sun once, and he came past me, really fast. And it was an, it was called,
the, an eclipse. And he came fast! But as he came past..I..I licked his back"

There is not much to this list. It is full of amazing. At least to me. Honestly, it's got a lot to do with the music I've been listening to this year, and how kick ass I think it is. Impy presents: Space Moon is What We Thought It Was!

1. Air - Surfing on a Rocket
2. U2 - No Line on the Horizon
3. David Bowie - Sound and Vision
4. LCD Soundsystem - Tribulations
5. My Morning Jacket - Highly Suspicious
6. Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire

12. Secret Machines - First Wave Intact
13. The Flaming Lips - Approaching Pavonis Mons By Balloon (Utopia Planitia)

What follows does not transpire on Space Moon, the hallowed Moon in Space. It instead soundtracks our shared trip to Rock the Fuck Out Stadium, as we surf on a rocket and dance our fucking asses off. The journey ends as we approach Pavonis Mons (actually, Space Moon). I chose this theme because I think I can safely assume what the trip itself is going to be like. What happens when we land....well that's anyone's guess. Just Space Moon it, bro.

Uber did his intro/writeup and I've yet to receive BoMac's stuff. So.

Space Moon, in Space. We'll start voting this week after we've had some time to listen.

Whichever is deemed easiest. I don't particularly want to clutter up the forum, so it might be for the betterment and sanity of the mods if we just vote in this thread, but that's really up to you guys as I don't care much either way.

Also anybody else who wants to participate in voting, just PM me your email address or post it here and I'll hook you up with the Space Moon links to Rock The Fuck Out Stadium.

I love you and goodnight.
