i tried downloading it before i went to school that day and nothing was working. didn't even occur to me to look online somewhere to see if it was a widespread issue. but by the time i came home, everything would download then so it was all good.

Marry the Night is insanely catchy. That Edge of Glory received promotion instead is almost incomprehensible to me.

I'm sorry, I just can't handle Edge of Glory. When I first heard it, I thought that it was a parody of a throw-away 80s dance song. I didn't initially believe that she was responsible for it.

Edge of Glory is much better than Hair, which is a single? I would bitch about that song's promotion, not Edge of Glory.

I don't think I ever shared my thoughts on the album, by the way.

It's one of the most obnoxious albums I've ever heard. I don't think it's terrible (it will definitely get people to dance), but it's just too much at times. I could see certain tracks on this becoming a substitute for waterboarding in the future. They're just so punishing in their repetition of irritating hooks. But it's not anything unexpected. The new hour-long Lady Gaga album with the image of her AS A MOTORCYCLE on the cover is probably going to have some annoying, bombastic shit on it.

I really like this girl, and admire her for being fucking crazy and managing to be massively successful while doing so, and I thank her for putting some badass pop tunes on the radio over the last couple years, but I don't think I'll be returning to this album much at all.

There are a few good moments. But they be few and far between. For me.

"Bad Romance," though. Holy shit. One of the best songs EVAR.

This song gives me hope that, obnoxious though these new tracks may seem, I will grow numb to their eccentricities in time and love them as a result. I used to find the "rah-rah-rah-ah-ah" hook one of the most painfully stupid things ever and the lyrics to be forced strangeness. But damn if I wasn't cranking that shit on my car stereo the other morning at 5 AM, loving life. She has a gift, and when she doesn't bury it under inflammatory religious imagery and self-help slogans, we all benefit from it.

That's really the essence of the issue. She just seems to think that she is a lot more edgy than she actually is.

I agree with just about everything you say here. As I said, she tries way too hard.

One thing I'd disagree with: I do not think she is particularly crazy.

Music video for "The Edge of Glory." I like it, very simple, and I think she looks great. That leather outfit is working. And Clarence chillin on the stoop!

So much better than the video for Born This Way. Very attractive lighting, fun choreography, Clarence being a badass, and Gaga once again being proud of her ass, which I approve of.

I'm not sure if this album already going double platinum is impressive or not. With the $0.99 prices on week 1 and 84% drop to week 2, I can't see this album having as much sales longevity as her others. There are only like three singles on this that can match Telephone, let alone Poker Face or Bad Romance. Oh well, I approve of her trying to make more cohesive records at this point of her career; it's a sign of genuine artistry.

Her latest album mostly irritates me. I run to her music quite a bit, but I just can't get into her new tracks. I'm actually starting to get bored w/ her. At this point it would be more shocking to see her in a cardigan w/ her ass actually in pants. She has a killer voice, but she's starting to annoy me like Madonna began to back in the 90's.
