I have considered exploring thier music, and wondered if anyone was a big fan on here. Perhaps some insight to this very complcated and unstable band. I studuied thier history, and well, yea lol. Constant line up changes, albums of varying quality,(according to what i read), and of course, "we built this city".

Nothing varying about Jefferson Airplane's quality: they consistently kick ass. Surrealistic Pillow is very possibly my favorite psychedelic rock record, After Bathing At Baxter's is a supreme mindfuck, and Volunteers ties it all together with great hooks. Terrific band, and I would recommend most of their catalogue.

I like to pretend that they were collectively millions of dollars in debt when they founded Starship. It's the only explanation.

Jefferson Airplane- Good

Jefferson Starship- Ok

Starship- Shit

I will confess that I did like that song Sara from Starship's Knee Deep in the Hoopla album.
