A few years ago the Summer months brought about endless late night TV programes about the antics of holiday makers partying in Ibiza and Aya Napa. I don't know when they stopped showing this series but it's clear that dance music is no longer as mainstream as it used to be. Back in 2001 the UK singles charts were dominated by dance songs. Now the charts are dominated by the dull urban scene. Plus the dance acts that are charting tend to be of the more cheesy eurodance variety such as Cascada and Basshunters. I remember the good old days where dance music was good. These are just a few of my favourite's:
