Finally getting around to listening to this. I like it a lot.

Saw him last night. It was a difficult concert for a couple reasons. One, Sam lost his voice the day before, so his falsetto and high voice wasn't quite there, though considering that he did sound pretty good. Two, and by far the most frustrating - the crowd (or at least where we were standing) was fucking terrible. I can understand the din of conversation in between songs, but it didn't even let up a little during the songs. Made it really hard to pick out lyrics and appreciate some of the band's playing.

But what I did hear sounded great, and the new stuff sounded strong overall, though I was a little sad to hear Love And Some Verses turned from a gentle, beautifully tender ode into a jaunty little number.

Ughhh, people talking during the songs at a concert is way up there on the list of things I hate
