their performance on the live stream from NYC last night was awesome! Can't wait for tonite!:D

You are soooooooooooo lucky. I've loved them since I was 16 but was never able to see them live at a proper Garbage show, aside from when they opened for U2 on 10/24/01...

I was hoping they'd play more songs off their new album, since I think it's really good. It was a great show none the less--even if it was a greatest hits type set-- and I'm listening to Beautiful Garbage again for the first time since 2001. I really like that album.. I can't believe I didn't give it more of a chance..

Had I saw them last night I would have loved the show since they played all my favorites from their first album..

Should I check Garbage out? I'm worried that they may not be my kind of people.

I am really bored at work.

Yes..if You like female fronted alt rock bands from the mid 90s you'll love Garbage. Start with their first two albums which are awesome! Third is good as well and after several listens, their new one really holds up.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! What a day and a fabulous show!

:hyper::love:
Got in the GA line at 930 Club at about 3:30... With only 10 people in front of me. 15 min later.......... out comes Shirley and Duke who graciously came out to talk to everyone in line and also sign autographs and take pics. She was so sweet to everyone. They intentionally came out to talk with us no just happened to be walking by thing. A few minutes later Butch Vig came out too. Nicest guy.

here are some pics:

I will post some better pics later that I took with my point and shoot. These were with my iPhone.

Had the new album on Spotify at work yesterday, and it didn't really stand out .... then I played it at home, and it's much better when it's not quiet background music. :wink:

Pleasantly surprised by this. I loved, loved, loved their first two albums, and then was disappointed by Beautiful Garbage (save for 1 or 2 songs). Bleed Like Me was better, but still nowhere near the first two.

So yeah, happy with the new one.

I saw them last night in Montclair, NJ along with a half empty crowd. Didn't matter. They played the hell out of that room, and it made the show so much more intimate. For the first time in my life I was one row off the rail. They were incredible. Met the band after the show as well. They were all so sweet and humble. Got my picture with Shirley too.
