Crazy talk. The visuals in this almost make the song

I have to disagree as well. The visuals during the Devotional tour were drool worthy. Especially since Anton Corbijn created a lot of them.

Well, I have not seen them in years, so I will be happy with whatever.

Saw them in 1987 and 1988

For what it's worth, you guys are right that they haven't always toured with a freakshow of bad ideas on display...but those days were long, long, long ago. Long ago. I'd kill to have been able to see them back in '88, that's for sure.

Hey guys, im going to see them in Dallas at the end of this month. First time ever!!

I have a couple of questions if you all dont mind, tickets say the show starts at 8:00 but there is NO supporting act listed on the tickets. Who are the opening act(s) for this tour? Also do you all know what time they normally take the stage? I ask because i have a 3-4 hour drive so i need to plan ahead that day. Also looking forward to setlist info.

thanks

I agree, that tour had some amazing visuals... my fave was the simple yet effective reversed candle.

they're an Indie/alternative band. they had an hit a couple years ago with their song 'Young Folks', the one where it starts off with fast, snappy drums and whistling. I loved the album that song came from, and the 2 singles from their new album, so I'm super excited to see them open for DM at the Hollywood Bowl.

I was just reading the comments on that youtube video. Seems like the majority said they were pleasantly surprised at their performance opening for DM.

DEPECHE MODE FORCED TO CANCEL APPEARANCE AT SHORELINE AMPHITHEATRE IN MOUNTAIN VIEW ON AUGUST 12TH DUE TO DOCTOR'S ORDERS

Depeche Mode has been forced to cancel their scheduled appearance on Wednesday, August 12th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California due to doctor's orders that lead singer Dave Gahan be on complete vocal rest for 48 hours. Because of their busy schedule, a new Bay Area date will not be rescheduled this year.

"San Francisco is one of the most important cities to the band and we are devastated that we have been forced to cancel this date," said Dave Gahan. "We hope to be back soon to play for all of our fans in the area."
I cannot believe that this is happening to me again. I do not go to many concerts and the ones that I try to go to get canceled.

Dude! You're supposed to be on complete vocal rest, you aren't supposed to be saying anything!

Bad year for Dave, wow. I guess that explains the cutting short of the Lolla set. Sorry, sicy.

Ummm . . . I love you Sicy, but . . . if this is the case, then maybe you shouldn't go to Vegas 360.

Seriously though, sucks about DM. Sorry you had to miss them this time out.
