The only songs that I would give lower than an 8/10 to are the Prettiest Star and Let's Spend the Night Together, so yeah, basically one of my favorite albums ever. And Station to Station is even better.

Ziggy doesn't have a single even slightly weak moment but very little on it moves me the way it used to before a hundred or so plays.

Bowie is the man, is the point I'm making here.

Oh and the solo on Aladdin Sane is a hundred times better than anything on the Next Day, which is itself really good.

Aladdin Sane is my favorite Bowie album, and Lady Grinning Soul is my favorite Bowie track. He had higher points conceptually, but as a collection of songs, Aladdin Sane is difficult to top. And I love that version of Let's Spend the Night Together. I think I might even prefer it to the Stones' version.

It Ain't Easy is a bit of a weak moment.

Really?? Even if you don't like the solo (I do), you don't like the verses? They're extraordinary, exceptional atmosphere and vocals.

Oh extremely.

Didn't make it through in the Bowie survivor though.

I remember learning Lady Stardust on piano - that intro riff is really unconventional. Not sure why I bring that up now, but there you go.

Love it. I think it's about Marc Bolan?

I think OpenG180 needs a more memorable name if he/she is going to post in here. I vote for OG 1 Ken80

It almost sounds like Obi-Wan Kenobi...

Bon Jovi and the offensively radio-friendly Birds of Tokyo both outsold Bowie in Australia. I'm sorry, David.

He's number one in several European countries including the UK.

Looks like he's headed for a #2 finish in the states as well. We suck.

I was in the library on Friday and someone called the librarian with a question about Bon Jovi because she had seen him on American Idol. Who the fuck calls the library with questions about pop music? Anyway, the librarian passed the phone off to one of her coworkers who is apparently a big Bon Jovi fan, and she proceeded to gush about how "socially conscious" the new album is.

If I had faith left in humanity to lose, I'd have lost some just now.

FUCK.

FUCK.

FUCK.

I hate when I almost feel like something is a quote I recognize, but is just vague enough that I'm not sure.

Fine, you win. This time.
