Weekend America, which airs on public radio stations, ran a piece this afternoon on U2charist services.

Very interesting line from the founder: the service now ends with WITS, and she said The Edge has said it's about Easter. Never occurred to me (I admit, I am not regular visitor to It's a Musical Journey) but going over the lyrics, it seems logical. Anyway, take a listen.

CNN had a piece on this thurs morning. They were talking about how churches are trying to relate more to every day people. (young and old) Part of it talked about Goth-charist too.
That was interesting.

I heard this too. Interesting about Edge's words on Easter. I hadn't heard that either.

While the connections are perfectly reasonable, personally I don't dig the combination of pop music and church.

Mostly because I don't dig church. What have they done with my rock and roll? Don't anyone let Bono know about this...

My favorite part was the old dude that said that the U2 music was "jazzy" and good for "the kids."
