I recently bought the book, God's Politics, by Jim Wallis. Its about the author's "new vision for faith and politics in America." The subtitle of the book is Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn't Get It.

On the back is a quote from Bono, "The Left mocks the Right. The Right knows it's right. Two ugly traits. How far should we go to try to understand each other's point of view? Maybe the distance grace covered on the cross is a clue."

Just wanted to share that with any of you in case you hadn't read it yet or heard about the book. I've only read the first chapter so far but the author has already mentioned Bono and his campaigning for Jubilee and other recent activities.

Thanks, dano, for that quote.

What many people do not realize or want to accept about Bono and his Chrisyianity is that IT IS AN INCLUSIVE CHRISTIANITY, not an exclusive one.

Bono has never attempted to try to divide people into categories or try to separate himself from other believers.

Bono has always tried to BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER, to help them find the common threads that bind them and to help BRING HOPE AND HARMONY TO OUR WORLD.

So when we attempt to divide ourselves "in the name of love" or when we try to tear Bono in two and want to make him fit into our own narrowminded brand of christianity,

we actually disrespect Bono and his BRILLIANT LIFE of bringing God's Love into our world.

This book by Mr. Wallis IS a great book.

Hi!

"Hope and harmony"..........

Vision a moment when
we aren't all just strangers
but a humanity connected
by a force so obscure
it would forever make a difference
in how life is perceived...
precious and peaceful
devoid of all hunger
no orphanages
no wars
no inhumanities
no AIDS
no strangers . . . just friends.

Sounds good anyway,
