The lights are brighter up here on the mountain
Everything faster, the neon colors more vibrant
Intoxicated by overstimulation, virtual contamination
Each fulfilled disire one step closer to the next fixation
Consume - Devour - Bigger - Better - More
Appetites unsatisfied could feed the starving down below
Starving for food, starving for love, starving for hope
But wants and needs collide, intertwine,
Reality fades up here on the mountain
So we build higher, fingers reaching up to heaven
Heaven points back down at us

LIFE is at the bottome
HUMANITY lies at the foothills
There's work to do if we could just come down.

**Work like you don't
need money, love like
you've never been hurt,
and dance like no
one's watching.**

I really like this one. I love the contrast of the fake, garish, artificial imagry with the humanity and humbleness below. The style of the poem really matches your words...cool..this one moved me.
