Into Your Eyes

Do they see what happens to me
when I look into your eyes
Are they aware of my thoughts
Is it possible they realize
What I feel
I am in pieces on the floor
Will someone put me back together
I can't move
I can't take anymore
Can I feel this way forever
Do you see what happens to me
when you look into my eyes
Is this what you are feeling
Is it lust
Is it desire
Is it trust
My heart is on fire
Melting my soul
When I look into your eyes
I feel like I am
Touching the sun as I melt into light
I ride the light into the night
of the glowing stars
We meet at Venus
Fly through the heat of Mars
It is just right
Tonight
In your eyes
I realize
What I am feeling
What I am concealing
Tell me what you are feeling
No don't
Just stop
There is no revealing
Don't look into my eyes

that's very intriguing the way you ended your poem

heavy feeling in this one, still thinking about those last few lines though...

About those last few lines...To me, they reflect the abrubt, but common transition from openess and revealing to the need for protection and security. "the need for protection... the thin of the skin

I love it when I write about an experience and have other people read it in different ways. Now when I read this I see it could actually apply to many things in life. This was actually written about a woman and the temptation of a relationship with a man she knew could never happen because it would cost her everything she had. Thanks for your thoughts!
