These hearts were woven of human joys and cares,
Washed marvelously with sorrow, swift to mirth.
The years had given them kindness. Dawn was theirs,
And sunset, and the colors of this earth.

They had seen movements, and heard music
Slumber and waking; loved; gone proudly bended
Felt the quick stir of wonder; sat alone,
Touched flowers and souls and lives. All this is ended.

There are waters blown by changing winds to laughter
And lit by the stricken skies, all day. And after,
Frost, with a gesture, paints the waves that dance

And wandering loneliness, he leaves a white
Unbroken glory, a gathered radiance,
A length of shining peace, under the night.

Frost, with a gesture, paints the waves that dance

I love imagery of nature.
I wish I could as poetic as that!

Very beautiful Foadie

this has a gorgeous, timeless feel to it...it's very beautiful, and though sad, the ending is uplifting. wonderful writing, this really appeals to my senses

We're all drawn to tragedy.

I thought this

There are waters blown by changing winds to laughter

accompanied the change of format pretty well.

I like this

And after,
Frost, with a gesture, paints the waves that dance
