This was something ive written after writing Nice Guys Finish Last. Ive actually been able to lay down some guitar work behind this aswell, so i guess it my first proper song. If you read the situation behind my break up last week, the stormy man is the ex who came between us. And yes, i did write this during a thunderstorm

Thunderstorm crashed through the sky
Splitting lives in two
Im looking through the dreary midst
All I think about is you
The rain pelts down on passers by
Soaking them wet through
I sit inside and watch them run
Cos that’s all I can do
The thunderstorms a jealous man
Can only see what he don’t have
The thunderstorms a guilty man
What he wants he tries to grab
The thunderstorm’s a confused man
Angry but he don’t know why
The thunderstorms a lonely man
He can do nought else but cry
A primal, violent, desolate force
It’s calming in a way
When thunder rolls about the sky
You know its time for change
The taste, the smell, the atmosphere
You feel the energy
But the when the storm does fin’ly pass
What’s to do of you and me?
