The mirror

The Mirror (this is the best I have ever wrote at least that’s what I think)

You say expect the expected
You say to dream the dream
To believe in justice
But how can we see what we don’t believe

Its hard to see me as I am
When all you see is me in a mirror
You think of me as a shadow
A man who looks in the mirror

Its not but a shadow in his eyes
You try to see past that
But the lines wont come to you
Just pause and ask

Where is the mirror
Its just a part of your imagination
It will leave us now
You don’t have to see me as a reflection

She’s on the hunt for it
Without it she’s useless
She has no state of mind
She just wants it back

Where did it go
Can you see it yet
It pops in her head the sea
The waves are crashing

She decides she wants to join the mirror
If she wants to live in fear
She’ll stay if she’s scared
She swims out

At last she has the mirror
The waves rises above her
I guess she should’ve listened
Now she’s washed up on a beach
With her precious mirror
She doesn’t wake but I bet
She’s dreaming the dream of a mirror
