France, precisely Dijon for mustard lovers
I’m a tropical land where it rains now and then
But when it does it pours, it soaks you to the core
And the ants run like men to find a place to stand
And the plants crawl as sure as evil on all fours.

On a countdown of ten, all go back on the sand,
Drifting off from the shore, a dead turtle ignores
Life’s coming to an end, now out in the open,
At last relieved from sores and reasons to die for.

There is no time for tears or for guilt to appear,
Every tall tree around and every hill will drown
And as the wave gets near, silence has filled my ears.

All the way across town, a thin crack splits the ground
And it carefully clears all that which I held dear
In a deafening sound, slowly grinding me down.
