Strolling

Another summertime
Another fine wine
Unwind from a hard day's work
A cool breeze for you and me
You know I'm still in love

The parkway is a fine place
For our lovers' laughs
This pathway is our old way
For us to forget the past

Cos these days
They just escape me
These ways just leave
And these times
I wasn't made for
Cos its all just a stroll for me

Whether business talks
Or casual walks taken before suppertime
Whether rainy jaunts
Or October haunts I'm taking my own fine time

If you hold my hand
Or if you whisper to me
that you are my only love
If we sit and make out
That's part of the route
On this path laid out from up above

Cos you and I are lovers entwined
Like flowers and chocolates and fine red wine
And these times
I just wasn't made for
Cos its all just a stroll for me

Buses race past
Taxis too
And I've just gotta wonder why
Places to go?
People to see?
All that just passes me by

You haven't seen me in a while
A little while has past
But I remember your tram
And your nanny's sweet smile
As I stolled by the week last

Cos I take it easy
I take it slow
That's what its all about
And if you walk with me
And if you talk slowly
Then I can't find a better route

Cos you and I are lovers entwined
Like flowers and chocolates and fine red wine
And these times
I just wasn't made for
Cos its all just a stroll for me
