my friend, they broke you
while I watched poker-faced...
shiver and taste
you ask what the point is
but then you paint your eyes black
and inject your heart
numbing it before you even hear an answer
love is the only baggage...
as he sought to embrace all he could
to lay his fingers upon the wound
and stifle the bleeding of a hateful crime
they turned instead, with a chilling cry
their gossamer wings hungering after the tainted air
but they fell instead
beneath where you were hung for all humanity to see
they scrabble for another scape-goat
love is the only baggage...
the night's inspiration runs dry
before your transparent eyes
and the shadows of the sunlight
haunt who you are
the scars of lunacy
have written their forlorn tale
you trace a hymn to the stars
only to have the tune cut short upon your lips
the words telling you that you don't belong
you know
it's not the things you do
it's not about you
it's not the things you wear
it's not the love you share
it's not your sexuality
it's not everything you'd like to be
it's only our fear
that brings us here
from where you are
only a flash that startled our indifference
perhaps you dazzled, blinded us
with the truth
but so you too shall ascend in this lonely journey
and I am condemned to watch
whisper my prayer to join your dying breath
a prayer to someone who could believe
the prayer of you who made me see

really long, I wrote it awhile ago, kind of just as a stream of consciousness as I was thinking about something..a very relaxing and healing way to write
I apologize for not being around that much, I really want to read everything you guys post. i'm so tired right now I think I'm going to keel over and die, in fact that would be nice cos at least it's peaceful
I'm gonna try and come in on week-ends, just want you to know I'm not leaving, just busy
