Hello, guys and gals! :wave: This is a new song I wrote, about two lovers. One of them thinks he has all the answers, while the other is unsure about herself. The chorus is lifted from an older song I wrote. Enjoy! :)

Somewhere In The Distance

Standing out in the grass all alone,
I’ve been missing you for quite a while.
Your constant questioning, and how I teach you,
But most of all your divine smile.

Watching you hold your broken crucifix,
As I stand perched atop my golden podium.
You believe I have the answers to everything,
But there’s only one sure thing that I know:

<Chorus>

Though there are clouds in the distance,
The Sun is out now.
Let the sunrays life your spirits,
Never stop to wonder how.

Soak up the Sun,
And stop worrying about other things you must do.
Bask in the sunlight while it’s still nice out,
Because you know that it’s all for you.

<End Chorus>

You arrive a little late,
As I wave “Hello”.
The frown on your face lets me know you’re not happy,
As well as the fact that you say so.

So I begin a conversation,
About the cosmos and the Sun.
Your disapproval doesn’t surprise me,
But it does further separate a unity that was once one.

<Chorus>

Though there are clouds in the distance,
The Sun is out now.
Let the sunrays life your spirits,
Never stop to wonder how.

Soak up the Sun,
And stop worrying about other things you must do.
Bask in the sunlight while it’s still fresh,
Because you know that it’s all for you.

<End Chorus>

I point up at the Sun,
As a chill wind ravages by.
Seeing the birds flock to an oak tree,
I only wish you could let your wings loose and fly.

You smile at the passing wind,
As if it’s something you can identify with.
I’m suddenly ambushed by great knowledge,
As I finally realize our opposite attraction is a gift.

<New Chorus>

Though there are clouds in the distance,
The Sun is out now.
Let the sunrays life your spirits,
Never stop to wonder how.

Pouring rain will come before long,
The sunlight will not last.
Thunder clouds are arriving,
As rain sprinkles on the blades of grass.

<End Chorus>

And so, right then and there, we decide to dance.
