Here's a song about my ex girlfriend. It's call "Socialist". The beat and the way the song is played is very happy though.
Poetic and revolutionnary
lol
I can't say that she was vulgar or arrogant
She was elegant
Like a slice of bread with jam in the coffee
Like a graffiti on a W.C. wall
I met her in a pacifist protest
But it was githting hard with the police
I hurt myself while throwing a stone to those nuts
And she was a socialist
Protestant and feminist
A little bit tiring and a little bit sad
But elegant
I thought the morning of the great evening would come
I believed in the wind of freedom for the future
The kinda freaking stuff I read in a tabloid or in a great newspaper
I don't remember
She spoke to me about Che Guevara with enthusiasm
She said he had some genius and some class
And I said: you are right Emily,
It's Karl Marx, much more attracting and more honest
More pratical and effective
At that time I was everything-ist
Anarcho-Guevarist
I don't even know if that exists
But I like it
And she was a socialist
Was wary of the ecologists
Didn't like the communists...
And the dentists
So that's how I understood
That you can't be Che Guevara and Dom Juan
Charles de Gaulle and Zorro
De Lorimier and Jean Moulin
cheers

Condamn? par le doute, immobile et craintif
Je suis comme mon peuple, ind?cis et r?veur
Je parle ? qui veut de mon pays fictif
Le coeur plein de vertige et rong? par la peur
***I'm going to the May 27th gig in Montr?al. If some people want to meet me, well then just say it. Cheers
