This is the beginning of a song I'll call sleepy wanderer- because I'm really very tired right now.

Twenty five thousand klicks...
one mile to go
She doesn't know
if she should leave with me though

My hair alight with three thousand bulbs
my house on fire with just two souls
Cordoroy pants and a velveteen shirt
You'd leave it all behind if you knew what it was worth
Cross the road and come into my house
Cross the desert and head back south

There's a fire burning in my bed tonight
There's a dream alive in my heart
If we were stuck on a boat would we ever fight?
There a dream alive in my heart...

You thought you'd left it all behind
In that little town back in Alabama
Ever now and then you think you're blind
and you're trapped in that house back in 'Bama

We walked together down a long road
Been hitchin' for a year
Boots wore down from dancing and drinkin' funny beer
Hair's longer than the tallest tree
Better get to the city
Face is scarred and clothes are ripped
Baby don't you see?

There's a fire burning in my bed tonight
There's a dream alive in my heart
Since we're alone we won't ever fight
There's a dream in my heart...

zoomanda is right . . .
intense
passion

when I read this poem and think about your other poem "Out Loud" . . . I don't know what to say except that you are a great poet, your passion seems infinite, your words make me feel every drop of these emotions, even if I don't understand them . . .
